Would you please?

I wish there was a better video than this. Thanks D for reminding me how much I love this song.

Now I am off to New Mexico for the weekend. Ahhhhh.

Pushing Daisies

I love this show. I just happened to be home on a Wednesday night when the first episode of this show came on. It's great. I think I have a new Wednesday tradition.

If you want to check out the full episode, go to abc.com. I love the imagery and the adorable story line (not to mention the adorable lead actor).

It has the same writer as the show Dead Like Me, which I also really liked.

My day off

In Thailand I ate rice noodle soup everyday for breakfast. I love it. There is this little place next to an Asian market that I like where I eat my pho. If you want to try it, I'll take you there someday.

Here is a picture of my half eaten lunch.

At this particular restaurant they give you a fortune cookie. I always get crappy fortunes, but this one was really interesting. We shall see what December 27th will bring.

A couple weeks ago my friend and I went to the Avenues street fair. I saw these amazing pieces of art made with dried flowers. My friend was thoughtful enough to remember which one I had my eye on and bought it for me. I love it. I need to find the perfect place for it.

Tonight I watched the office and laughed like I do when I am with an old friend I haven't seen in a while. I am so glad that Jim and Pam are dating (I'm such a nerd). I really hate that The office and Grey's Anatomy are on at the same time. It's like choosing between which child you love more. Ah well, I'll just have to rely on TV links.

All in all, today was a good day.

Daft Punk WAS playing at my house . . . my house

Last night was awesome.

Things I learned last night:
1)LCD Soundsystem makes me dance my pants off.
2)I wish that I was a sexy little Asian girl who plays the keyboard and synthesizer
3)I'm older than I used to be- earplugs are a must, using an old receipt from your friend's purse just doesn't cut it.
4)I want to wear glittery gloves and drum on everything around me AND wear suspenders.
5)Everyone I know loves Arcade Fire- me included.

And last but not least- I can find a man where ever I go.

Here's a little taste of what I experienced, a friend of a friend took this last night.

SK8R BOYZ

I have this thing for guys that ride skateboards. I think it might be some sort of disorder. I have liked these boys for as long as I can remember. In 3rd grade I was in love with Ryan Comstock who had the total skater hair cut and would do ollies on his skateboard on the playground- it continued from there and I don't think it ever really ended.

It's a little harder now. I hear a skateboard coming down the road and it's instinctual for me to look (while my heart is racing just a bit), inevitably it's a 12 year old with his pants practically falling off. Most skater boys have grown out of it by the age of 30, some have not, but those are normally the ones with no ambition and no job. I am glad to say that I have matured- ambition and job now trump being able to ride a skate board.

Saturday I had the opportunity to go to Dew Tours at the Energy Solutions Arena (it will always be the Delta Center to me). I received free tickets from big brothers big sisters to take my little sister. This is great for her since she suffers from the same affliction I do, a longing for skater boys and anything connected to them. The cool thing about this event was that BBBS is involved with a non profit organization called Create a Skate that has kids build skateboards in the schools. Because of this, Whitney and I were able to build a skateboard, decorate it, paint it, put wheels and trucks on the deck and Whitney got to take it home. As we were building the skateboard Bucky Lasek came and helped us. He hung out with us for a bit and signed Whitney's board. I am proud to say that I didn't say anything too stupid in front of Bucky- I hope he didn't notice me staring and drooling. I think a millionaire skater is totally my type. Here are some pictures of the event, I am supposed to be emailed more- these are what I took on my camera phone.

First we had to sand the board. Whitney hates sanding so much that I did most of it.

Not sure why I am making that face.

Then Whitney decorated it and painted it.

Here's Whitney and Bucky. He is so cute. Seriously.

After building the skateboard, we went inside and watched the BMX competition. All in all it was a really fun time. Whitney had a blast. So did I and not just because of the skater boys, although they didn't hurt.

Here are a couple more pictures.

Sometimes I have fun nights

Wednesday night was a fun night. It was good people, good fun (REAL soccer- even though I didn't once see David Beckham's nipples)and crazy activities like Yoga Ball Olympics.

I love it when I meet people and they are as crazy as I am.

Here are two pictures that happened later that night. They captured the happiness that was Wednesday night.

I wish Chris used that face all of the time.

Slept

Last night I didn't take anything to help me sleep and I actually slept. I think I only woke up 2 or 3 times in the night, but not long enough to have to get out of bed. I did however have super crazy dreams. I dreamt that for some reason there were dead bugs and crabs (the ocean kind) all over the floor and I was trying to sweep them up. I didn't know where they had come from, but they were everywhere. Well, I looked it up on a dream dictionary. I don't really believe in that mumbo jumbo, but maybe there is something to it.

This is what it said about bugs:
To see a bug in your dream, suggests that you are worried about something. It is symbolic of your anxieties and/or fears. What is literally bugging you? Consider also the popular phrase "bitten by the bug" to imply your strong emotional ties or involvement to some activity/interest/hobby. Alternatively, the bug may be representative of your sexual thoughts.

And here are the crabs:
To see a crab in your dream, signifies you perseverance and tenacity. On an extreme note, you maybe be too clingy and dependant and hanging on to a hopeless endeavor. Crabs are also symbolic of your irritable personality, as in the pun, being "crabby".

So apparently I am worried about something or I am depending on something that is a hopeless endeavor or maybe they are the same thing? Or I am sexually frustrated and therefore an irritable person.

Eh, I still say it's all mumbo jumbo. (Who says mumbo jumbo? Me apparently.)

Ambien strikes again

Have you heard about these crazy side effects of Ambien and the wacky things the victims do in their sleep completely unaware? Hey, guess what? I AM ONE OF THEM. I know that this may sound like I am making it up, but this is the honest truth. I have been struggling to sleep for over a week. I tried a new sleeping pill, one that I had never tried before. I took this pill at about 10:30 pm I hardly remember this next part- when I had glimpses of it this morning in my conscious brain, I was pretty much mortified. There are about 6 of you out there that were sent a text/voice message. This consisted of me talking in some cases and then always ended in one of three songs. Somewhere over the rainbow, Close to you and love me tender. If you did not get one of these messages, be grateful. I sounded totally wasted and apparently I was.

For the first time in over 2 weeks I woke up refreshed and well rested, until the realization of what I thought I might have done set in. Now I want to crawl under my covers and never come out.

Hope it made for a good laugh. I guess it's back to not sleeping again.

Here are other stories, some not as funny, some even more hilarious. I really wish I was able to attach the voice messages. Maybe I'll work on that.

Well I can't figure out how to put them on here, if anyone knows how, let me know- because they are so funny.

THIS JUST IN:

Crazy

Love me tender

A camera on a phone? Genius.

I have so many beautiful, hilarious gems that have been taken or sent to me on my phone. Why should I be the only one to enjoy these pictures? I have decided to share them all with you. I can't imagine what life would have been like in middle school and highschool if I had had a camera phone. I am so much more mature now than I was then and they are still ridiculous.

I just looked at how they came out and I have no idea why I made the sizes so wacky- but I'm keeping it.

I have fun friends. If you have my number and a camera phone, please please please send me pictures throughout the day. They make me so happy.
